The Scarlet Goodbye is the creative collaboration between two established Minnesota musicians, Daniel Murphy and Jeff Arundel. Their partnership began by chance, with Murphy, known for his foundational roles in Soul Asylum and Golden Smog, crossing paths with the accomplished singer-songwriter-producer Arundel. This meeting sparked a new musical journey in an attic studio in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Following the success of their debut Hopes Eternal, which showcased a fusion of their influences: part Rolling Stones, part Townes Van Zandt. The Scarlet Goodbye returned to their attic studio to craft their second album, El Camino Adios, released last year via The Label Group/Virgin. Critics praised El Camino Adios for its continued development of the band’s dynamic range, featuring everything from energetic rock tracks to reflective ballads.

Now back once again in the attic studio for the bands forthcoming third album, Leading the charge, new single She’s a Fire, swings straight out of the box with classic Scarlet Goodbye harmonies, searing guitar riffs, and lyrics that nod to Carnaby Street and the Zombies. The single drops on TLG/Virgin March 6 2026. With creative momentum firmly behind them, The Scarlet Goodbye head out on a UK and Ireland tour from 11 March 2026. The band will be joined by Scottish rock outfit Overhaul, taking in dates across Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland.

The momentum continues throughout 2026, with more live shows, new singles, and the release of their third LP on the horizon. Fans can expect another standout year from The Scarlet Goodbye, packed with fresh music and unforgettable performances.
