Review: 'Allan Rose'
'Be Mine'

-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '28th July 2013'

Our Rating:
The Brit School has been the cornerstone of the British music industry for many years, churning out some of our beloved hit makers such as Jessie J and Adele among many others. In some respects, if you can come away from the Brit School with some amount of success, then it’s somewhat guaranteed you’ll do well. Enter Allan Rose. Brit School graduate and soon to be mega-star. Remember this man’s name, he’ll be everywhere soon enough.

‘Be Mine?’ is written by Rose himself, something that is to be admired in today’s music industry. You can easily tell that the Brit School nurtured his song writing abilities during his time there with the simple yet effective lyrics throughout ‘Be Mine?’. Something that works fantastically well within in the song is Rose’s classically trained voice and the EDM hooks in the chorus. Now if you were tell me this works, I’d laugh in your face and walk away but it’s purely down to the fact you just don’t expect it. The standard beat through the verse’s moulds into Rose’s voice perfectly and then you’re hit with a bit of a surprise/shock. Dance music sells, especially in this day and age, so I think Rose is definitely on to something here.

With a summer release date, you’d be mad not to add this to your summer playlist and with a fantastically shot video, something tells me this graduate will be talked about as much as his worldwide superstar classmates Adele and Jessie J. Bit of a heads up, Mr Rose. There’s no need to ask us if you want to be ours, keep making songs like this and who could say no?
