Our Rating:
Every time I've listened to this single, the first and main influence to strike me was how much they sound like The Who in the Quadrophenia era. The only mention of which in the press release is that the A-side is produced by Andy Macpherson who is well known for being the man who has been remixing The Who's back catalogue for the digital age!

But both the songs sound like rock bands from the early to mid-1970's before Punk broke. Nothing wrong in that when it is done as well as this and you wonder if they had been listening to Gillan all day and night before writing Hell To LA? or maybe they had some Gary Moore on for inspiration on the guitar solos so much so that Hell to LA sounds like the sort of song you'd expect to hear Jeremy Clarkson talking over while test driving a car on Top Gear.

If this band can live up to the hype I'd expect to hear both these tunes turning up on a Drive Time Rock Anthem compilation in a few years' time. why not get ahead of the pack and get the single now! They are on tour in the UK and Spain in the coming months full details at: The Jokers online.
