Review: 'Wolf People'
'When the Fire is Dead in the Grate'

-  Label: 'Jagjaguwar'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '2nd December 2013'

Our Rating:
It perhaps goes without saying that folk rock carries a broad range of connotations. In this instance, we’re certainly not talking Mumford and Sons or Decemberists. Wolf People represent a very literal interpretation, combining the spirit of ancient folk tradition with heavy rock.

From this bedrock of mysticism and swirling mist emerge some deeply intricate songs, by turns earthy and ethereal, and played with a riff-centric gusto. Cracking stuff.
