Sometimes, press releases do bands no favours whatsoever. The PR for Rumours – not inspired by Fleetwood Mac in any way, shape or form – draws attention to the fact they draw influence from Fall Out Boy for their ‘fresh’ rock/pop crossover. Which means I hate them already, and I’ve not even taken the CD out of the sleeve yet.
Still, even a great press release wouldn’t persuade anyone with ears that this is anything other than lightweight emo pop toss. It’s as wishy-washy as it is generic. Tame, lame and pointless.
