The latest pop single from Allan Rose, 'Alien' is a fun track with a fast moving rhythm and a production that really sets it apart from its predecessors.
As strong as some of his previous songs are, Rose often sails a little too safely close to the well travelled routes of pop, but with 'Alien' there is a sense that he's trying to do something different.
By mixing an almost folk-tinged verse with a layered, electronic chorus, he's created a mix here that's worthy of note, and definitely his strongest single yet. Things are looking good if he continues to move in this direction.
