Review: 'Yip Deceiver'
'Presets'

-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '28th April 2014'

Our Rating:
Yip Deceiver may be a new act, but they’ve got pedigree, being Nicolas Dobbratz and Davey Pierce, both formerly of Georgia collective of Montreal. Which begs the question, how can they possibly justify this total dross? ‘Presets’ sounds like it was recorded using just Casio presets. It’s bad 80s electro, the kind of lightly funky synth cack that was ubiquitous between 1984 and 1987. It wasn’t any good then, and however much people are (still) digging 80s revivalism, it’s still not any good now.
