Review: 'SPC ECO'
'Delusional Waste / Push'

-  Label: 'Kaboom Music'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '12th May 2014'-  Catalogue No: 'KABM004'

Our Rating:
Already featured in the soundtrack to the new Nick Hornby film ‘A Long Way Down’, ‘Delusional Waste’ is a sleek sliver of dancefloor-friendly electropop with a dark smouldering edge. Flipside ‘Push’, which previously headed the ‘Push EP’ is a shimmering slice of trance-inducing elecroshoegaze. Both are reminiscent of Depeche Mode with heavy hints of Curve. That’s no coincidence.

SPC ECO is one half Dean Garcia, previously of Curve, and one half daughter Rose Berlin – who bears a striking resemblance to Toni Halliday, at least in the press shot that accompanies the release. Still, it’s a good look, and most importantly, SPC ECO showcase a good sound here, and one that’s remarkably now.
