Review: 'PRITCHARD, BILL'
'In June'

-  Label: 'Tapete'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '16th June 2014'

Our Rating:
He has been releasing music for nigh on thirty years and with a name like Bill Pritchard you can tell he was built to last.

Taken from his first album for five years (A Trip To The Coast) ‘In June’ finds our Bill in fine fettle. He croons away over quite a powerful riff that drives the track forward. It is understated and far greater than the sum of its’ parts which is probably a sign of quality songwriting.

The B side ‘Yeah Yeah Girl’ is even more likeable. Bill can sing, no doubt, but he does it in such a naturalistic way that you feel like he is talking directly to you. “I sometimes wonder how it could be. If I’d been more commercial, and you less twee”.

The rest of the song is littered with witty remarks pertaining to a former beau and the relationship and it all coasts along over some Rickenbacker type jangle. Life’s a breeze for Bill in June.
