Review: 'Damn Vandals'
'Cities of a Plastic World / Too Lazy to Die...'

-  Label: 'Sexy Beast'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '22nd September 2014'

Our Rating:
Damn Vandals get rock ‘n’ roll. They know it’s dumb. They get playing cool and not giving a fuck. They know all about lowdown and dirty, arrogant and sleazy. They can do grimy, gritty, booze-soaked, fag and and pheromones, and they know how to compress it all into some lethal cocktail that’s got groove, then to compact it into rollicking three-minute chunks of guitar-driven awesomeness.

This double A-side lifts two of the choicest cuts from their latest album, the swaggering ‘Rocket Out of London’ and slams it all down there, nonchalantly chewing gum and swigging JD from the bottle.

‘Hunting for boys... hunting for girls... Looking for the titties in the cities of a plastic world’ Jack Kansas hollers by way of a refrain, which ultimately gives way to a balls-out guitar solo over a thick, gritty bass.

‘Too Lazy to Die, Too Stoned to Live’ not only boasts one of the best song titles you’re likely to see in a while, but is also perfectly epitomises the fucked up rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic the band espouse so succinctly in their songs.

Them damn vandals are just too damn cool.
