Glenn Hodge’s thing is spiky acoustic folk. It’s not exactly protest music, but his contemporary urban folk tunes amply convey the fact he is definitely pissed off. His music is his vehicle for venting his spleen about, well, what have you got? Displaying a most punk approach and attitude, the grumpy bugger swears prodigiously about English Folk and class politics and all the rest, wrapping things up with the bile-brimming ‘C U Next Tuesday’ which sweetens bitter vitriol with a sedate folky walkz package. Tidy.
