Review: 'Boyd, Robbie'
'Brave'

-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '7th December 2014'

Our Rating:
Robbie Boyd’s been building quite a following on the back of his debut album, ‘So Called Man’, produced by Tristan Ivemy – renowned for his work with Frank Turner and Magic Numbers amongst others.

Latest single offering, ‘Brave’ is representative of his style and provides strong evidence as to why he’s been receiving so many plaudits: it’s an uptempo, easy on the ear acoustic-guitar led song that’s rich on harmony and big on melody. ‘We can only learn if we make mistakes’, Robbie sings philosophically. It’s heartfelt, it’s warm and tangibly human. And yes, it is uplifting. What more do you want?
