With some Mooginess lifted straight off a Stereolab album, a motorik rhythm that ultimately EXPLODES with superabundant energy, ‘Girl!’ has got the lot when it comes to lively indie with a keen pop persuasion. But there’s more: the duelling male / female vocals are what really make it.
There’s no terror here: Fun Pigeon would probably be closer to the mark.
