Thankfully not a cover of the Elton John song but a tasty slice of 80s inspired electro pop. Cinematic synths sweep and cascade over insistent disco beat and if there are elements of early Depeche Mode in the mix, then the falsetto chorus sits somewhere between Bronski Beat and the theatrical stylings of a more contemporary act, namely Wild Beasts.
Crisp and succinct, it’s a neatly packaged balance between danceable and moody.
