Nothing like a bit of hyperbole to ensure a band’s release underwhelms. This one’s a classic: “Taking the artistry of Foo Fighters, the melodic craftiness of Don Bronco, and the energy of Billy Talent, Wolfetone display a sound that oozes impressive dynamics, beefy riffs and elephantine choruses.”
Well, it certainly oozes something, and it’s certainly not the spirit of celebrated Irish revolutionary Theobald Wolfe Tone (1763-1798). The only wolf this lot have any kind of relation to is an old toothless one. They huff and they puff but their songs don’t really hit the mark.
