Review: 'White Noise Sound'
'Heavy Echo'

-  Label: 'Rocket Girl Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '16th March 2015'-  Catalogue No: 'rgirl107'

Our Rating:
Pulsating loops provide the relentless undercurrents of these two tracks, hinting at the mesmerising repetition of Factory Floor. But ‘Heavy Echo’ places a dense, shimmering wash of guitars atop the insistent groove to magnificent effect. The psychedelic atmosphere is heavily reminiscent of classic 90s shoegaze a la Ride and Chapterhouse.

The throbbing skeleton of flipside ‘Never Fall’ suggests what A Place a Bury Strangers might sound like if they went electro. Dan Henley breathes from a shroud of reverb as the backing nags away, building and layering and inevitably pulling you in. Petty spectacular stuff and precisely what the 7” format was made for.
