Review: 'Seale, Orlando and the Swell'
'All of the Dogs / Filthy Hope'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '23rd March 2015'

Our Rating:
‘All Of The Dogs’ is a double a-side single alongside ‘Filthy Hope’. The two tracks ably reveal Seale’s knack for subtle groove-driven shoegaze pop. Accessible without being bland, melodic and sweet without being remotely cloying, there’s a dark undercurrent that weaves beneath both tracks. ‘This is the kind of poison / we’ve raised our boys on’, Orlando sings in the soaring chorus.

However, if the two and a half minute ‘All of the Dogs’ is all about the precise, the concise and the punchy, then the majestic and muscular ‘Filthy Hope’ is all about the power of the brooding, slow-burning epic. Paired together, it’s a killer release.
