Review: 'Seazoo'
'Car Deborah (EP)'

-  Label: 'Label Fandango'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '1st June 2015'

Our Rating:
It’s like the early 90s all over again. Or, indeed, the early 00s. What goes around comes around, and we’re back once more in the realms of whimsical Britpop infused indie with this Wrexham-based band. Shimmery synths glissando through nodalong four-chord square strums with nods to sunny west coast indie pop courtesy of nagging lead guitar lines. Gorky’s, SFA, Yo La Tengo and Pavement are all fair references, as are the likes of Superchunk.

It’s hard to dislike, but equally hard to get really enthused by, not least of all because here have been so many bands who sound just like this, and there are still so many bands like it now. So I’m not going to be so cruel as to dismiss this as worthless crap, because it isn’t, and there are hoards of awkward teens (and awkward people perilously close to middle age) who will just love jumping around to these breezy tunes. it’s good, harmless fun. Go, enjoy it.
