Review: 'Tangtype'
'Trajet'

-  Album: 'Trajet' -  Label: 'Humpty Dumpty Records'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: 'HMPTY029'

Our Rating:
Soft, undulating tones and subtle, rolling rhythms provide the backdrop to some quirky, slightly detached vocals. The effect is really rather striking, by turns dreamy and unsettling. Darker undercurrents rupture the surface, with serrated drones, swells of noise and long screeds of high-pitches tones that jar the senses. ‘In My Time of Dyin’’ is an oddball smooch with death, while ‘All that is My Own’ is an exercise in creeping stealth.

Traversing semi-abstract scenes shrouded in sonic mists and ethereal spaces forged in the mind, ‘Trajet’ is a haunting and imaginative work.
