Soft, strolling basslines wander loosely over sparse, sedate beats and a host of incidentals; the mixes are sympathetic and tap into a spaced-out dub vibe across this 4-track 12” EP.
Trombones and synths warp and slide around over the top of the Talkbox version, the dubbiest, bassiest of the lot; The Vin Gordon version is mellower, before Kassian Troyer’s reworking strips it right back to a skeletal frame. The shuffling Melocica version is hauntingly sparse, tapering for a fade in the distance.
It’s reggae, but not as we know it.
