The chunky blues-based riff of single cut ‘Blood is Blue’ isdelivered with swagger and attitude that gets Three King’s High’s debut kicked off with a statement of intent. It paves the way for an album that packs no shortage of rock ‘n’ roll action. There’s a vintage 70s vibe about ‘Banging My Drum’ and much of the album trades in classic rock tropes, but delivered with real panache and a confident strut. The melodies are brimming with hooks and they know how to lay a hip-shakin’ groove, too.
