| Edinburgh singer / songwriter Greg Pearson is unashamedly a pop artist. This offering, a song about ‘having a place of secrecy and trust you can share with people you love’, is simultaneously spacious and intimate. It’s also a great tune and brimming with tangible emotional sincerity, delivered in a way that’s accessible without feeling overwrought or cliché. So far, so good.
The radio edit is a pretty radical reworking, and while it would sit comfortably on any R1 playlist, it lacks the soul and warmth of the original.

I’m not about to knock Greg for having a crack at the mainstream: he’s certainly got an ear and a voice for a great tune, but it would be nice to think he could achieve the success he deserves own his own terms.
