Review: 'ESB'
'ESB (Y.Tiersen/ L. Laquerriere/ T. Poli)'

-  Label: 'Bureau B'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '16th October 2015'

Our Rating:
Another retro-futuristic slab of analogue from Bureau B, this time in the shape of three talented synth obsessives who over a period of time eventually got their shit together enough to record this album. The thing I often find with 'retro-futuristic' is that it usually ends up being retro with a new outfit on but with the artists on Bureau B both sides carry equal weight. That leads me to question how they manage it. Is it coming from the analogue equipment (decidedly retro but still sounding futuristic) or is it coming from the attitude (experimental, accidental cosmic jamming) and for the time being I think it's both.

The album starts out with 'Market' and a single note that expands into a funereal motif. The track has a great kaleidoscopic video to accompany it on Youtube and if you like it you will be sure to dig this album.
