Review: 'HÔN'
'White Lion'

-  Label: 'Tambourhinoceros'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: '30th October 2015'-  Catalogue No: 'TAMB114DA'

Our Rating:
The debut album by Denmark's Jesper Lidang is a dancey, boppy and occasionally melancholy regurgitation of 80s Europop. It features an array of distorted guitars, layered vocals and synthesized strings.

All ten songs are recorded and sung by Lidang backed up with plenty of clappy drum machines and synth effects to heighten the catchy melodies.

The driving S.U.B., schmaltzy Honeydream and white soul of Last Boy are the best tracks

Despite pledges of emotional connections being felt "deep inside", it's all fairly superficial and plastic; in other words, perfect disco music!
