21-year-old half Scottish, half Swedish Nina Nesbitt is enthusiastically primed by Island Records as a bona-fide pop star following the success of her debut album ‘Peroxide’.
This 5-track EP promotes three versions of the single Chewing gum and also includes Take You To Heaven and Masquerade.
Her songs bubble along superficially enough to soundtrack the faux-raunchiness of pop videos while her striking looks ensure her marketing potential extends beyond music.
Images by Vogue photographer Damon Baker have already made her a "muse" to AEO jeans and she has been nominated as Calvin Klein’s "social media ambassador".

Nesbitt says she wrote the single "about the transient types of relationships people have when they’re trying to figure out what they want and they’re not ready to fully commit.”
Chewing gum is about the impermanence of modern love but the metaphor also serves for this particular niche of commercial pop since what starts out tasting sweet loses the freshness of its flavor all too quickly.
