Our Rating:
I reviewed an album this guy was involved with some time ago and if memory serves me I felt it showed some promise and I think that was with reference to song writing and lyrics.

That happy knack seems to be intact so maybe I was right? Meh. This song is funny, clever and catchy. It sounds like a huge selling American indie pop rock band, the name of which escapes my tired lazy head.

It is essentially self-produced so as of yet it has not had the 30,000 dollar button pushed on it and this is the kind of song that could do with that extra bit of oomph but fair play. The only other thing I would say is that I would stop the clock at about 2:06 but that is just a personal preference of the short and sweet and keep 'em wanting more variety.

I look forward to hearing the album. I suspect a lot of it might sound completely different to this but in the meantime this is a good opening salvo.
