Review: 'HARVEST'
'Harvest EP'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '2015'

Our Rating:
This is the debut release is by a quartet from Trondheim in Norway - 3 guys and one woman who does most of the singing.

The five songs are in English although the band apologize sweetly, but unnecessarily, that their posts on Facebook are in Norwegian!

Harvest is not the most original band name and frankly it's not the most original music either.

This is guitar-driven rock which takes its cues from 'classic' metal orientated combos but the five tracks are light on memorable riffs and contain lyrics more suited to silly love songs e.g. "Just say you love me and want be near" (Down And Out); "If you want me - take whatever you want" (Made Up My Mind).

The best song is This Condition which borrows from the bluesy mood of Hendrix's Little Wing and indicates that the band's kindred spirits are more likely to be found among soft rockers than hardened metalheads.
