Review: 'SCHNITZLER, CONRAD & SCHNEIDER TM'
'Con-struct'

-  Label: 'Bureau B'
-  Genre: 'Ambient' -  Release Date: '18th November 2016'

Our Rating:
I think I reviewed the last one of this series with Pyrolator and it was really good. This one less so. Maybe the method used whereby Schneider TM has held musical conversations with the work of Schnitzler using his effects processors has led to this?

It does seem a bit like two conversations running simultaneously that are not quite connected by a language or subject matter. The two do not always match and maybe that is about the choice of weapons? Regardless of this there are some nice moments, 'Parabelfug' with its Bobby McFerrin mouth percussion being one of them. Other than that the stand out piece for me is the 23 minute long final track 'Wurmloch' which is something to really sink into. It stands apart from the rest in terms of sound as well, being quite minimal, ambient and incremental. It's the one keeper on the album for me.
