Review: 'D'AMOUR, MICHELE AND THE LOVE DEALERS'
'Lost Nights At The Leopard Lounge'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Blues' -  Release Date: '21st June 2017'

Our Rating:
Ms D'Amour and her three male love dealers are a bluesy "groove-driven" show band from West Seattle WA who "enjoy performing and interacting with audiences of all ages".

Fun for all the family, in other words and in this spirit their third album places the emphasis squarely on light entertainment rather than soul searching.

You can take your pick from styles on offer which are variously described as shuffle, rumba and diverse forms of the blues - slow, funky, rock or gospel.

When The Blues Love Come Calling ("R&B flavour") is a prime example of the level. In this song the advice is to greet them (i.e. The Blues) as old friends and to stay calm and not to take them too seriously ("It's not the end of the world").

In short, it may keep some paying customers satisfied but it's all enough to have Robert Johnson turning in his grave.
