A fine debut album of superior guitar centred garage punk from a Brooklyn quartet released through a Brighton UK record label.
The band's direct, no frills delivery is well captured by producer Austin Brown of Parquet Courts. It all fits in well with their too bored to live, too young to die CBGB attitude.
The five minute Psychics is the token slow number to show these guys are not just bent on a three chord thrash.
Meanwhile tracks like Delay and the single Malibu Entropy display them at their breathless best.
Somewhere in NYC the 1970s have never really gone away.
