Review: 'Caleb'
'Unhandled'

-  Album: 'Unhandled' -  Label: 'own band demo'
-  Genre: 'Indie'

Our Rating:
The only reason I have put Caleb under “Indie” is that I don’t think there is an adequate genre here to put them on! They are not your typical Indie band, with amazing harmonising vocals I’m surprise if a new genre of music isn’t created just for Caleb!

They play original songs which have a highly listenable blend of influences. I could not name any influences though, of all the bands I have heard I can honestly say that Caleb are a new sound to the music scene to place them under one genre would not do them justice. All their songs are extremely powerful and sends a tingle up the spine and a tear to the eye. Elyzas voice is so original and beautiful I couldn’t compare it to anything I’ve heard before.

The track “Stoned birds” has singer Elyza's voice strong and beautiful alongside Dan’s gruff sounding backing vocals is an amazing contrast and it works so well, I think this is my favourite track on the CD, although they are all amazing songs and would all be worthy of a mention.

I can honestly say Caleb are all extremely talented and are very good at what they do. Their music is powerful and extremely moving. With their fresh and exciting outlook on music I’d be surprised if they aren’t signed by the end of the year.
