Keegan McInroe is yet another globe-trotting Texan troubadour serving up a diet of rootsy Americana to the masses.
His mission is to lend his voice toward a more enlightened and compassionate future and says that his sixth album is “against war and a comment on a number of other ills". This gives him plenty of scope to sound off about the mess we're in. It also proves that Woody Guthrie style protest songs are never really in or out of fashion.
McInroe's a graduate in religion and philosophy from Texas Christian University but is no bible basher. On the contrary, he preaches on behalf of Nietzche rather than Jesus in the spoken word track Nietzche Wore Boots and his colourful language earns him a parental advisory sticker.

He rails against the media in Talking Talking Head Blues) and warmongers in Bombing For Peace ("like fucking for virginity").
Although he takes a critical line on world events he is willing to concede that "this crazy, cruel world is so full of beauty" in The Love That We Give.
While old-fashioned in tone, the record stands up as a timely and articulate attack on the enemies of peace and justice.
