Review: 'From The Specials AKA Neville Staple Band'
'Lockdown'

-  Label: 'Cleopatra Records'
-  Genre: 'Reggae' -  Release Date: '19.6.20.'

Our Rating:
As ever Neville Staple is a man for our times and just as Ghost Town summed up the devastation of Thatcher's Britain so Lockdown is a perfect anthem for the world that is now facing Lockdown or trying to find a way out of it that doesn't include ridiculous idiocy like accusing someone like Neville of being Racist, so make sure you hear this tune and allow Neville Staple to continue as a vital musical messenger.

Yes a song for all of us suffering under the heavy manners of Lockdown and how it's changed our lives, restricting everything we do this year, from not being able to travel abroad, or even out of your house in case the virus gets you.

Set against the sort of Ska backing you'd expect from the legendary Neville Staple Band with Sugary Staple sharing the vocals this is a perfect example of conscious uplifting reggae to help us all get through the dread that is 2020. I so hope I get the chance to see Neville and Sugary perform this live at next years Rebellion Festival with a room of us bouncing along to it.

I'd big up the b-side of the 7" single too but was only sent one tune to review.
