Review: 'Peter Harris/Mark Stewart'
'Bomb Art'

-  Label: 'Bomb art/ youtube'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '12.8.20.'

Our Rating:
Bomb Art is an artistic collaboration between Peter Harris and Mark Stewart two legendary artists who have between them worked with everyone from Boris Johnson and Lee Scratch Perry to The Maffia and Kenneth Anger and beyond.

In their own words Bomb Art is "Foregrounding a form of psychic arcao Logy 'autopsy of a myth' challenges the conventions of paraaestetics /seeking thru time to stage these encounters /a vertiginous mirror or a source of information medicine. Mark Stewart. There's no such thing as you Peter Harris."

As such the music that accompanies the youtube video on the main website https://www.markstewart-peterharris-bombart.com/ that can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBR-fE0lYRw&feature=youtu.be is to my eyes and ears about Memes or Myths, heroes flashing by hyper real among the beats are some beats, too much information flashing in your brain from Bataille to Beckett , pop dance phone addiction scrolling through your mind like Tristan Tzara, dropped beats disintegrate in your brain as the screen splits meme's multiply like Phil Ochs songs, as it comes back to imprint itself in your mind. Famous faces flash by from Kerouac to Lee Perry and on to Kenneth Anger and Foucault flashing by bass lines no suffocation or information overload. The music drives the message in the art of our overloaded times. It would be great to see this video and the artwork that accompanies it on the walls of a large gallery space, but for now you will have to view it through the website https://www.markstewart-peterharris-bombart.com/ that also contains a cut up collage video for The Pop Groups classic Blood Money Slow Thief to keep you nicely bemused as to what it's about as the images flash by while you wait for it to come to an art gallery near you when things return to something like normal.
