This is an album about life, death and whatever comes next. "Ultimately, this album's about unity", says Justin Wells which is a bold concept in itself given the divisions and conflicts that plague the modern world.
Wells is no blue-sky thinker but he's not weighed down by doom and gloom ether. Resignation and realism are the benchmarks to this set of tunes.
It is the Kentucky-based artist's second solo album after the demise of his Southern rock band 'Fifth on the Floor'. In a mellow drawl he deals with universal truths aiming at compiling a roadmap about what it means to be human. He shows that he's prepared to accept the curve balls life throws at you whether they be heartaches, break-ups or existential crises.

In The Screaming Song there's an acceptance of loneliness from the day we are born. "I'd like to lie and tell you it gets better" he deadpans in No Time For A Broken Heart but there's also an innate strain of optimism expressed in songs like Never Better and It'll All Work Out.
The morale of the tales is that even when the best laid plans may go awry it pays to stay pragmatic and grounded.
