Liberation is the lead single off Dmitry Wilds latest album Electric Souls that's due out now. He's based in New York and plays glam rock with a cabaret twist. The ep is dedicated to the Ukrainian People.
This ep opens with Liberation a slow rock anthem that's hoping to set us free of all the shackles stopping us leading our best lives, as Dimitry sings about the immigrant experience of being hassled by the police as the guitars go a bit glam.
Castle Walls feels quite pared back as Dmitry sings of the troubles that have come his way, of the good times, as he sings of his joy that you've taken his last name, as the guitar solo sounds like it could be off of Mick Ronson's Play Don't Worry, while never sounding that happy despite the joy in the lyrics.
Don't Need Anybody sounds like it's based around re-working the Time Warp into a 21st century anthem, the tune is rather catchy as he details just why he is happiest when he's alone.
