Our Rating:
Im Tal Der Stutzer is the pandemic lockdown project of CV Vision in collaboration with Martha Rose and Uno Bruniusson who appear to be LARP Kraut weirdness act personified, I wrote my review before watching any of the videos or translating any of the lyrics, so my imaginings come from what I hear in this most intoxicating world of CV Vision. A World full of found sounds old synths, weird instruments hidden among the kingdom they wish to inhabit.

The album opens like the ident to an old movie with Wilkommen Im Tal Der Stutzer that stutters into the urgent windswept synthpop of Die Frommen Wanderer that almost goes schlager freak folk taking us deep into the Black Forest.

Die Nachtricht Schneller Als Der Wind is deep in the woods casting magic spells, trying to sublimate the prevailing winds, to create a different world free from plague, no longer bathed in blood, the synths looped pulsations prepare for the deep journey they are on, to entice the people back to a peace and love filled Berlin.

Die Konigin Weint is the briefest entry door into Konig Friedrich II, the music for the orgies in the palace to celebrate the new dawn, angelic choirs in the Teirgarten as the oompah plays in the distance.

As the weird noises progress through Im Hunerstall squelching into the chapel of Zauberer Und Die hex suddenly voices babble in space, incantating a deep dub synthtopia of the futures past.

Bevor Und Nach Dem Sturm has weird samples and tape loops that stretch going out of sync, time deep odd spaces are opening out, thunder breaks opening new horizons.

Die Reise Ins Innere feels bucolic like your on a train from Berlin to Koln staring at the windfarms in the fields everything will be ok. As the train slowly picks up some speed near Wolfsburg the wheels clatter a good bit, you know it will be a great ride, no matter how any odd interjections go against the very Bo Hansson like keyboard line.

Wald Melodei has them camping overnight in the woods, as they wake up to Lichtermond a gauzy early dawn light song of renewal through deep love of Stereolab and Lee Hazelwood, as In Der Schmied impinges as a man hits an anvil as a dog barks.

Der Froliche Gaukler is Rhubarb and Custard tainted synth wonderment for frolicking in beer stubes having cartoon adventures sound tracked by Jean Jacques Perry.

Kinder Des Mullers Der Am Waldrand Wohnt is an alternate reality of kids gone insane with muller rice addictions chasing cows through Kreuzberg.

The album closes with Uber Liebschaften a slow building tripped out keyboard fantasy, future of harmony and health to leave you gliding away.
