Our Rating:
Tiger is the latest album by Buffalo New York shimmer pop specialists Dotsun Moon. This time around Dotsun Moon is the solo work of Richard Flierl with the album being engineered and mixed by Doug White at Watchman studios in Lockport NY.

The album opens with Bring Love that has a widescreen feel, to all the ways in which he wants you to Bring Love rather than hate to him, well to everyone around you, now more than ever advice to bring love seems pertinent, something we should all be shouting and singing about. It may feel down beat in places, but we should all just sway along together to the music, wrapping us in a warm cocoon against all the hatred in the world right now.

Save Us has crystalline waves of shimmering guitars and synths, waving over us as we all hope it's still possible, to Save us all from the turmoil and destruction we see all around, is this music the catalyst for such revival, at this point doubtful, but we must hope and work for a brighter future.

Give Up The Tears go on stop your sobbing, be enveloped in the mesh of guitars, sexy bassline signalling it's time for love to wipe the tears away, time to move forwards once more.

Never Had A Heart that could be about an ex or about someone else entirely, this has a late 90's New Order style feel, Dotsun tells us all the ways you've displayed your lack of heart, his hushed vocals weave above and below the central tune, signalling the rollercoaster of emotions they are going through on this immensely catchy single.

Piano Trailer Melody 4 is a piece of library link music of soft beauty and subtly seductive echoing piano lines. Moments In The Sun feels brighter musically, while the down at heart vocals hope for a few more Moments In The Sun with you, will you give in and spend time with Richard, listen and decide.

Winter Streets are rather depressed and downhearted, slowly trudging through the snow and ice, he searches for the love that's abandoned him, siren like synths drive by, this slowly drifts by like the sad reminiscences being recounted.

The album closes with Army Of Me a statement of intent for a solo artist like this, it feels rather reflective and laid back, craving some isolation along with a delicate piano line helping him to stare into heaven once more, while wondering if anyone will join him in his quest or not.
