Anarchy And Ashes is the latest album by Los Angeles based Alternative rock act Love Ghost who are currently Finnegan Seeker Bell, Daniel Alcala, Thelonius Cundieff, Danny Davilla, Alex Martinez and special guest Von Welt.
The album opens with the topical Revolution Evolution a battle cry for stopping all the stupid wars and hatred, a need to come together and make a better world, over heavy industrial grinding guitars and doom-laden drums the yelps of the afflicted and attacked come through.
Vengeance do they want it, or to find ways to live a life without Vengeance causing wars and destruction, while echoing System Of A Down in places, stop start guitars add to the sense of a world on the edge of the abyss, while he watches you beg for mercy on your knees, is it ever enough.
They then cover Falco's Europop monster Rock Me Amadeus (edit) playing it like they are a cross between Oomph! And Rammstein while keeping the originals pop sensibilities and being just as catchy. Silk Noose is the games lovers play, that hopefully never go the full Hutchence, this is perfect to be played in the dungeon of alternative and fetish clubs.
Violence Wears Make Up apparently with red lips and warpaint smeared over there faces, they are ready for dark industrial battle to fix the broken systems we survive within, whispered voices, crushing guitars and the hope that the rejects might inherit the earth, making it a far more fun place to be.
Rock Me Amadeus full version adds another 23 seconds, but is essentially the same as the other version apart from some strings towards the end. The second version of Vengeance features Von Welt and is a bit more low slung, with the vocals more up front.
