From reading the press blurb for US outfit REGGIE AND THE FULL EFFECT it would appear that James Dawes - who is REGGIE AND THE FULL EFFECT - is someone who enjoys hiding his identify behind various guises. Having released albums with titles like "Greatest Hits 1984-1987" (in 1998), "Promotional Copy" (in 2000) and 2003' "Under The Tray" it is only with his latest opus "Songs Not To Get Married To" that he finally emerges as the sole contributor to the band's music.
Sounding like A Flock of Seagulls meets The Bloodhound Gang REGGIE AND THE FULL EFFECT's 'Take Me Home Please' single is a catchy drive-time pop affair that comes in two flavours. The former version leaves everything, bar Dawes' vocals, to Moroder-esque synthesisers while the latter 'rock' version cranks up the guitars; but only in a polite manner of course, thus ensuring radio-friendly vibes for listeners stuck in rush-hour traffic on a motorway somewhere near Birmingham.

Pleasant, briefly illuminating but eminently forgettable.
