Review: 'TUNNG'
'JENNY AGAIN'

-  Label: 'FULL TIME HOBBY (www.fulltimehobby.co.uk)'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: '4th September 2006'

Our Rating:
Anyone who sings about Little Chef restaurants is alright by me.

This single has a golden mellow warm tone and murderous psycho lyrics(“Throw the knife into the stream, run away across the fields, leave me lying where I fell, rivers running out of me…) while quietlyinterplaying smoothly with velvet by-the-riverbank acoustic guitars.

A faint electro pulse and percussion beats underneath while a peculiar Noel Coward like sample intones “Jenny…so shy, Jenny…sooo sh-shy.”

This excellent seven piece outfit have produced a charming and disarming single (Martin Smith is credited with playing teeth and toenails…yep, it’s that twisted.) Finally to cherry the cake Vanessa da Silva has created a hypnotic blue biro inspired cover to make this my single of the month.
