Review: 'RED 10'
'London, Farringdon Betsey Trotwood, 24th Jan 2007'

-  Genre: 'Rock'

Our Rating:
Matched only by the enthusiasm of the gathered faithful here tonight, Red 10 take to the stage with cheeky grins all round and a spring in their well versed step, immediately setting about proving why intimate and contagious acoustic indie can sound so good.

With instant crowd pleaser ‘I Forgot’ kick starting the proceedings, their unique blend of fast and honest uncomplicated musicianship could easily become the soundtrack for so many lives.

Red 10 are lyrically savvy and produce a lot of noise for an unassuming three piece, albeit in the small confines of downstairs at the Betsey. Chopping and changing style and tempo with ease, the group that claim to adorn Haiti’s national currency play out with ‘Bad Ass Mother Fucker DJ’, a voracious salute to up front early hip hop, as always in their own inimitable style and to the sheer delight of all and in the process underlining their status as ones to watch for a good value night out.
