I didn't know what to expect upon receiving the Antarctika EP from HiFlyer. I had no previous knowledge of the band and the artwork didn't give much away.
The first track 'Left Behind' sweeps in with a beautiful melody and haunting lyrics. Although the band are quite young this song sounds way above their years, and instantly intriguied me as to what the rest of the EP would be like.
'Chasing Rainbows', the second track, is s a sure hit. With a catchy chorus, and yet more stunning lyrics, this is a gorgeous song. Sounding like a classic, it's hard to believe this is a new track from a rising band as it should be on a Fleetwood Mac greatest hits collection. This is something that should shoot straight onto the Radio 2 playlist, and would appeal to a wide variety of people.
The rest of the EP doesn't fail to dissapoint, and has left me wanting more of this great band.
