Review: 'DIANA'
'DIANA'

-  Label: 'The McCorry Studio'
-  Genre: 'Soul' -  Release Date: 'November 2007'

Our Rating:
All the songs on this debut album were written by Diana's musician father, Tim McCorry and performed with a jazz ensemble under the direction of producer/guitarist Tony Romano.

These are standards in the mould of classic American popular music sung in an uber mellow style that is technically proficient yet practically devoid of emotion.

They are all breathy love songs with observations like "I'll know that dreams come true if I can be with you" and "I love you and you love me/that's the way it was meant to be/that is why they call us a family".

I guess there are those who get off on this sentimental tosh but to me it sounds like Mills & Boon set to music.
