Our Rating:
This is the most average thing I’ve ever heard. That is, it’s neither good nor bad. It creates such an indifference in me that I’m struggling for words.

‘Dirty Sally’ is a rhythm and blues song; y’know, classic rock all the way. That it comes with a press release containing a release date of October 2008 tells me that this is something new and not a song that’s been snuck into the pile as a joke to make sure that I’m paying attention to what I’m doing. The vocals are tired and mumbled, whilst everything else just sounds like things you’ve heard before but never bothered to pay any attention to whatsoever. The tune itself is a big black hole of nothingness, straight from some Springsteen/Clapton by numbers computer programme.

A few years ago, newspapers used to give away CD’s featuring a few famous songs alongside a bunch of similar sounding songs produced by session musicians. This sounds like the sort of song that would have been churned to go with the 80’s AOR collection. It’s not so terrible that it’s offensive, but there’s also nothing positive to say. I’ve forgotten about it already.
