Vendor Defender formed in Glasgow in early 2008 and they are an as yet unsigned three piece comprising Zak (guitar/vocals), Frazer (drums) and Suse (bass/keys).
They sound like an old fashioned 70s pub rock band with art rock pretentions - try to imagine Eddie & The Hot Rods doing Television covers.
The raspy vocals are effective in capturing a raw energy but the crudeness of the recording allows little in the way of finesse.
There are four tracks on this EP - the title track plus 'Before' , 'The Island' and 'Justin' . Having listened to each a number of times I'm still none the wiser as what any of them is about - and Zak's voice sounds so earnest that I can't help feeling irritating when the words fire blanks like this.

The longest track at almost 5 minutes is a bouncy ska tune called Justin, a variation of the r'n'b feel of the other 3 tracks but equally obscure other than the fact that the subject of the song was man was the "headlining attraction at many a football ground".
File under confusing.
