This seems to be the week for singles with Tokyo in the title, but while I'm not generally a fan of brassy indie-pop played in a big band / cabaret style, I'll take a swingin' song with articulate lyrics and a spirited feel to it over the latest single by The Wombats any day.
Their cover of The Pixies track 'Where is My Mind?' which substitutes Frank Black's cracked vocals and raucous guitars with a melodramatic croon and subtle, downbeat string arrangement is surprisingly good.
