The band may describe the song as 'a polemic blast against the "traditional" nature of being a musician, that often unrealistic existence of self indulgent narcissism and fantastical irreverence', but to my ears it's a pretty mediocre chunk of emo-ish alt-rock, and doesn't really challenge anything, not least of all the listener's senses. It's too anthemic, and too anaemic, to pack much punch, too smooth and carefully arranged and styled to stir any deep, flaming emotions, and as for burning an entire fleet, forget it: lighter-waving's about as fiery as it gets.
