Ah, good, it's been a while since I've heard anything that's 'a dance fusion of rock and electro', and right on cue, here's the latest offering from hackney duo Black Cherry.
Slick, funky disco with a soulful edge, 'One Another' is lively, punchy and to the point. The guitars kick in and drive it home in the final stages, and I could imagine a fair few people getting into a lather over it either at a gig or a club night.
'Lost in the System' is slower, and has some twang and swagger to it as singer Megane Quashie teases out the line 'you make it so easy to lie' with a flick of the wrist and a toss of the head.
I'll not pretend I love it, because I don't, but it's not nearly as bad as I'd anticipated.
