Review: 'Kerosene Kondors'
'Sixteen Seasons'

-  Album: 'Sixteen Seasons' -  Label: 'Kerosene Kondors'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '2010'

Our Rating:
Less alt and more straight country for the most part, Kerosene Kondors' third album is rich in oak-aged Americana. For the most part, it's rough 'n' ready, roustabout country folk, soaked in gin, and full of dodgy characters. But the Kondors aren't confined to one narrow musical path, and the sixteen tracks on 'Sixteen Seasons' (not that the songs can exactly be readily aligned to seasons, although it's fair to say they do reflect a broad range of moods) span a similar range of styles.

Vintage, road trippin' US rock is a recurring feature, with a real good time feel infused through the playing, making for an album that's anything but a chore, or a bore, to listen to.
